Argentina legend Diego Maradona claimed that Lionel Messi played five times better when he coached, trained than when the current Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella.
Sabella own success led Argentina cruised into the final of the World Cup for the first time since the last 24 years, despite failing to win a trophy after losing 0-1 to Germany.
But according to Maradona, who coached Argentina in 2008 to 2010, judging that Messi is much better when he became a coach than when trained Sabella.
"With me, Messi played five times better than the common Sabella. Do not tell me that this sat he sacrificed himself for the team," he said.
In addition to commenting on the performance of the Sabella with Messi, Maradona also considered that there is a coach who deserves more than a coach Sabella, namely Cesar Luis Menotti.
