Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers judge that Philippe Coutinho has a style of play that is more similar to the Real Madrid playmaker, Luka Modric rather than Luis Suarez.
Coutinho had previously predicted to be an equivalent replacement for Suarez who move to Barcelona FC. Since imported to Anfield in 2011, Il Pistolero plays a major role as the creator of the Liverpool attack. He also scored a lot of goals for the Reds.
Rodgers also believes that Coutinho could be an integral part of his team after the death of Suarez. However, he saw that the Brazilian will not be able to be like Il Pistolero is capable of being a source of goals for the Reds. He saw more Coutinho role as the brains behind the Liverpool game.
"I think he is a star and people like to see him play," Rodgers said in the Liverpool Echo.
"He will never be able to be a productive player like Luis or another striker. Force the game more like Modric. He is the brains behind this team and he is moving the team," said the former Swansea manager.
