Former Manchester United player Bryan Robson assesses the problems facing his former club is in the defense sector. Therefore Robson suggested that the Red Devils bring in a new center-back before the new season rolling.
Against United in last season conceding 43 goals and now they've lost figure of experienced central defender Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand. United have so far managed to recruit a new left-back Luke Shaw from Southampton.
"When I saw the team, I just think after losing Nemanja and Rio and often conceded a goal in the last year, meaning we can get a good center back? I think it is more important than the middle of the current players," said Robson told The Mirror.
"We always had a central defender who is as good as any player in the area, can communicate with other players and a leader. I think we need a central defender like that to improve the team. Sure I saw some new players coming into the club."
In addition to Shaw, United also successfully recruited Spaniard Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao imported.
