The last few years Newcastle often recruit players from France and it did not turn into the 2014-15 season.

Adding strength up front, Alan Pardew successful 24-year striker, Emmanuel Riviere of AS Monaco with an undisclosed transfer value and long-term contracts.

Riviere recruited Monaco of Toulouse in 2013 and helped Monaco promotion to Ligue 1 last season he performed a total of 36 matches and scored 13 goals.

"It is my dream to play in the Premier League and Newcastle provide opportunities for me to make it happen." Riviere said on nufc.co.uk.

While Alan Pardew is very confident that his new striker will be loved by the supporters of the Magpies.

"He is a player that is fast, hungry for success and will get the support of 50,000 Geordies (Newcastle supporter designation) who will sing his name."
