Barcelona continue to strive to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season. After successfully bringing some type of offensive players, the Blaugrana will now focus on looking for new doorstop.
According to a report revealed by Sport, Barcelona is now no longer interested in signing Marquinhos and Jeremy Mathieu, the two names are often associated with a previous camp at Camp Nou this summer.
Instead, director Andoni Zubizarreta sports will launch a plan B, to explore the possibility to recruit Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund and Daley Blind of Ajax.
But of course the plan would be quite difficult to do, considering both played very well with their respective national teams at the 2014 World Cup and Club Hummels Blind will obviously not willing to release their valuable assets to Barca, if no compensation is commensurate.
Barca's own recently abandoned by the captain and one of their mainstay on the back line, Carles Puyol, who decided to step down from the position last season as a player.
